Newlab is excited to announce its first Pilot Showcase Event on May 7, 2024. Eight deep tech founders will demo climate tech solutions they’re piloting with Newlab and strategic corporate partners to drive real-world environmental outcomes.

Designed specifically for innovation leaders, Newlab’s Pilot Showcase offers a chance to see cutting-edge climate technologies in action and explore ways to accelerate corporate sustainability with Newlab’s infrastructure.

Among the deep tech solutions that will be presented are:

• Electric Vehicle Solutions for Adoption and Ease of Use: Attendees will discover technologies geared towards simplifying electric vehicle charging, making electric cars more efficient, and revolutionizing urban mobility with a swift e-bike battery swap network.
• Innovations in Construction Automation: A startup accelerating solar deployment with advanced roofing robotics will demonstrate robotics can transform construction for improved efficiency and safety.
• Advancements in Self-Driving Marine Technology: A startup in the maritime decarbonization space will demo autonomous marine shipping solutions that enhance the resiliency of waterways and address the marine industry workforce shortage.
• Pioneering Carbon Capture and Removal Solutions: Startups will demonstrate novel approaches to tackling climate change, from turning sargassum into a resource for carbon offsetting to deploying autonomous systems for water-based CO2 removal.

This is Newlab’s first major industry event since the inaugural New Climate Futures event in 2023, which convened Newlab's corporate and government partners to foster collaborations aimed at accelerating ClimateTech innovation. Workshops held during New Climate Futures 2023 focused on climate objectives including decarbonization, grid infrastructure resiliency, and bioeconomic advancement in the US. Building off of the momentum from New Climate Futures, the 2024 Pilot Showcase will illustrate how leading innovators are addressing those critical climate issues using the Newlab Method.
